Priya Krishnan

Priya Krishnan is a senior at the University of Maryland pursuing a double degree in Physiology & Neurobiology and Music. She is a Lannan Fellow, a winner of the 2014 Sebastian Herbstein Memorial Scholarship in Fiction Writing, a YoungArts Honorable Mention winner, and a resident of the Jimenez-Porter Writers’ House at UMD. Her poetry most recently appeared in Write Bloody anthology We Will Be Shelter, and she has been published in Bethesda Magazine and in The Writer's Bloc. She was a featured reader at The Inner Loop reading series in October and is also extensively involved with the D.C. spoken word community through the initiatives of Split This Rock and TOTUS, a component of the Inclusive Language Campaign at UMD.
